Paper (140 lb Cold Press)

You will use 2-3 small sheets per class
Recommended options:

• Arches Cold PRess Sheet 22" x 30", 140 lb (use 1/8 or 1/4 sheet size; can be taped to a painting board)

• Canson Montval Pad 9" x 12", 140 lb

• Strathmore 300 Series Pad 9" x 12", 140 lb

• Arches Cold Press Block 9" x 12", 140 lb

• Strathmore 400 Series Block 9" x 12", 140 lb

Please do not bring wirebound watercolor pads​
You may also bring inexpensive watercolor paper for value studies.

Paint (Student Grade Recommended)

Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor Tubes (5-8 ml)
(Tubes preferred, not pans)
Suggested Colors:

• Lemon Yellow

• Gamboge Hue

• Cadmium Red Hue

• Alizarin Crimson Hue

• Ultramarine Blue

• Cobalt Blue Hue

• Burnt Sienna

• Hooker's Green Dark

• Winsor & Newton Cotman Tube Set (10 or 20 colors)

You may bring your preferred brand in equivalent colors.​
Palette

• Any palette your normally use (e.g., John Pike palette or a butcher's tray)

(Any comparable brushes are welcome)​

• One large round mop

• One round pointed brush

• One 1" flat brush

• Any additional brushes you typically use
