Empty Bowls
Hunger Relief Project
We are very proud to announce that the 31st Annual Empty Bowls event made $6,500 for Redbud Area Ministries food pantry and the money was presented to them with the help of Sandra Miller's pottery students June 1, 2026. This is the largest donation ever!
Cathy Tapia, Empty Bowls Chair said, “We are so grateful for everyone's help. It truly took a village and the response was amazing!!!!!”
Many thanks to all the potters at the RRAC, Buchanan Students and teachers, sponsors, and others for their extraordinary generosity.
Empty Bowls is an annual event led by the Roti Roti Art Center, bringing together art and community to support local hunger relief. Guests purchase handmade ceramic bowls created by local artists and students and enjoy a simple carry-out soup supper, with proceeds benefiting the Redbud Area Ministries food pantry. Inspired by a worldwide movement started over 35 years ago by art educators, this event raises awareness of food insecurity while celebrating the power of art in giving back.
This is an annual event held in the Buchanan High School Auxiliary Gym.
