​What is “Paint The Town?”

Paint The Town is the name of our annual fundraiser and silent auction that will take place in the fall. The theme each year will change. This year the theme is “ Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre” 

 

What is a Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre? 

During the event a group of local actors will perform the play “Murder at The Art Show.” In the play, a “murder/crime” takes place and the audience is encouraged to try to solve the mystery of “who done it?”  This play is a comedy and will take place during the dinner at the event.

 

When is the event? 

September 6, 2025 from 6:30pm-10:30pm

 

Where can I purchase tickets?

How much are tickets? And what does it include?

$50 a ticket.

Ticket includes: full length theatrical performance, buffet style dinner and 1 alcoholic beverage. Water, soda and tea will also be available.

 

When do I receive my tickets? 

Tickets will be printed off and will be available the night of the event, at Will Call. The tickets will be filed under the purchaser’s name. The printed ticket will contain your drink ticket.

 

What is the Drink Ticket for?

Each ticket comes with a ticket that is good for 1 Alcoholic Beverage. This alcoholic beverage will be a limited selection ONLY on the Event side of Lehman’s. 

If you would like additional selections of beverages, those can be purchased by exiting the event and entering the restaurant side. Those beverages are NOT included in the “Drink ticket” and can be purchased separately. 
 

What’s a Buffet Style Dinner?

At the designated time each table will proceed to a buffet line. Servers will serve guests and guests will return to their seats to eat. We will have volunteers clear the tables between the Acts. 

 

What is for Dinner?  

Salad, roasted vegetables, garlic bread and cheese lasagna. Guests will have their choice between meatballs with red sauce or tuscan chicken. Desserts will be served after the play is completed. If you have an allergy or dietary restrictions please email ajonatzke@rotirotiartcenter.org

Seating:

Can I sit anywhere? 

Because of limited seating we will be assigning seats.  Each table will seat eight people. Tickets purchased together will be sat together. ( for example six tickets sold to one person, those six people will be seated at the same table and the other two seats will be assigned to someone else.)

 

May I request to sit with someone, if we are purchasing tickets individually? 

Yes, our event committee will do its best to seat you with your request but please understand not all requests will be granted, due solely to availability.

Is this event at Roti Roti Art Center?

Due to the size of the event, Lehman’s Farmhouse and Brewery will be hosting. They are located at 204 N Redbud Trail Buchanan, MI 

 

What about construction and parking? 

Lehman’s Parking Lot is accessible off of Dewey and off of Third Street. You will also be able to come down Skyline Rd by that time.

 

Silent Auction:

What kind of things will be available to bid on?

We have many items donated from many talented artist and local businesses. Basket items include: handmade pottery,  wine and cheese, gardening items, tool box, items for the kitchen, self-care, photography, antiques and many other items.

Center Pieces for the evening are made by our talented clay instructors. These pieces are available to bid on at the silent auction tables.

 

How will we know if we won a basket?

After the silent auction closes, our volunteers will post the name of the winners on a large board that will be displayed by the auction tables.

 

When and where do I check out? 

At the close of the evening once the play is over we will announce that check out can begin. This will be around 9:30 and continue to 10:30.

 

Check Out will be located at the same place as Will Call. A volunteer will bring you your basket. Please do not remove the basket from the auction table. This is simply to ensure that the right baskets get to the correct buyer. 

 

How can I pay?  Cash, Check and Credit Card. 

Cash: Unfortunately, we will not provide change, but we do appreciate the extra donation. ;) 

Checks: Please make checks payable to Roti Roti Art Center. 

Credit Card/ Debit: We will have Square available to scan cards.
